Kolenchery Association

The Kolenchery Association was founded in the year 2003, precisely on Jan 17, 2003 in a get-together of handful of like-minded Keralites from in and around Kolenchery. It has now become, though still in a fledgling state Kol-As for Caring & Sharing , with 171 members. It is all set to take off in a big way. For the expatriates in the Gulf, any place in Kerala, invokes a feeling of nostalgia, a belongingness, Kolenchery is no exception.

The Association is intended to be a forum for all Keralites from Ernakulam district, staying in the seven emirates of UAE, for interaction. It's mission is to create a home away from home, as long the members stay here, sharing joys and sorrows. It also makes an attempt find out avenues of rehabilitation in the event when a member goes back to India.

The membership is opened to all, having a residence visa and hailing from Ernakulam District, no barriers of caste, creed ,money or power, it is totally secular and democratic.
