Annual Get Together & General Body Meeting-2010
8th May 2010
Our Annual Get Together 2010 conducted in Eat and Drink Restaurant , Garhoud, Dubai, eventually turned out to be a memorable �Kudumba Mela�. The atmosphere was packed with all positive energy out of the love and affection shared by the members of our loveable association. It is quite natural when the whole family involves in fun, dance, music and of course some activities to help the needy, the almighty blesses us with such occasions. As our chief guest for the occasion Mr.Richard Hay(Principal ,M.G University Off Campus Centre,Dubai) aptly stated "Kudumbam means Koodumbol imbam". Exactly the same thing worked out in that evening. Dance numbers by our Lady members were fantastic and the kids added to the glitter by their superb performances. Ganamela by our own singers under the leadership of Saju Thuruthel and supported by 5 piece live orchestra was excellent. Immensely talented, cute Malavika D/O Manikuttan, who was our invited guest stole everyone�s heart by her exotic dance performance to the tunes of ��Ek Do Theen�� Of course we had some serious business as well. Donations for our major charity initiative, providing Dialysis unit to Kadayiruppu Govt Hospital, was formally inaugurated by our Presdident S.Balachandran Nair by Accepting donation from Mr George Paul Kunnathu, our Ex-President. Our guest of Honour Mr.Sadasivan Ambalamedu (Writer) emphasised that small associations like ours based on the nostalgic feelings of our homeland and personal affection are much powerful than organizations with much higher head count and we can do so many big �small things� and let us stand united. Secretary Eldho Paul presented the activity report for the year 2009-10 followed by receipts and payments details by treasurer Shibu. President S.Balachandran Nair expressed his as well as the Executive Committee�s gratitude to all the members. The General body eventually elected the Executive Committee and the committee members for the year 2010-11 presided by Johnson T.Y . Get Together at Zabeel Park

Kolenchery Association members had a memorable evening on 5th February 2010 at Zabeel Park, Dubai, UAE. It was a fun filled evening with lots of games and activities. It started at 3.00 PM, with a welcome speech by our beloved President, Mr.Balettan. The first game was "Balloon Veerppikkal", followed by an interesting "Quiz Competition". The knowledgeable and interesting questions were prepared by Mr. Mathai C.U and conducted by Mr.Mathai and Mr.Charles, and the team named "Yellow" had won the price. After the quiz competition, there were running race, spoon race and very interseting "Vadam Vali". The team under the captaincy of our Vice-President, Mr.Mathews Varghese, had won the first price in "Vadam Vali." The "Kaudhuka Lelam" for two "love birds" were very interesting. The get together concluded with a delicious "Kappa and Meen Curry" prepared by Mrs. Rehna, Mr.Raju and Mr.Baby Mundakkal.

Charity Initiative
Dialysis Unit to Kadayiruppu Govt. Hospital

Kolenchery Association has decided to go ahead with yet another charity initiative, which we feel would be of lot of service to our society !! A dialysis unit to be donated to Government Hospital, Kadayiruppu in Co-operation with Kadayiruppu Grama Panchayat!! Approximate cost of the unit - INR 6 Lakhs. Your whole hearted co-operation solicited. Please contact office bearers for more details.

Our Patron Visits Dubai
24th October 2009
Patron of our Association, Mr Paul.P.kunnath transited Dubai on 23rd October 2009 on his journey to Canada and was kind enough to spare an hour with our Executive Committee members. He conveyed appreciation of our activities during the past years and expressed confidence that we could continue extending our services to our fellow mates holding on to our motto "Caring and Sharing". Past and present office bearers present during the meeting expressed their gratitude for Mr Paul's courtesy and solicited his active involvements in our future endeavors.

Dress Collected for Christuraj Charitable Trust, Kakkad

Kolenchery Association once again showed that their driving force is nothing but "Caring and Sharing". Association has collected Used / New dresses from its members and well-wishers and donated to Christaraj Charitable Trust, Kakkad, Piravam.

Onam 2009
3rd October 2009
Kolenchery Association celebrated onam on 2nd October 2009 at Flora Grand Hotel, Al Riqqa Road, Dubai.The celebration started at 7 PM by welcoming Maveli and "kochu vamanan", followed by public function and cultural events. Association members has performed a skit - "Baali vadham" and also there was a Ganamela by our members.
